Because whatever metal is causing that is also going into my body through my ear piercing when im wearing the cute but cheap earrings.
Is this hazardous?
My understanding is that you’re absolutely correct, and the metals that are on your body can leach and potentially over a longer term have some health effects.
There was an article in the news not long ago about the heavy metal content in low priced jewelry. Low priced jewelry was a focus because it is sometimes produced by melting together various different metals to form an alloy (a mixture) that includes unsafe metals.
The recommendation was to replace cheaper jewelry with materials like silver, bought from reputable sellers.
There’s also the issue of nickel. This metal is used quite a lot in low price jewelry, because it resembles silver, but it’s a cheaper material. Many people are allergic to it.
All in all, you might be safer replacing the earrings. Hope this helps and you find a nice new pair.

I know that most pearls including Black Pearls are lab created and do not occur naturally.
Colour in pearls is a complex matter but very basically there are two areas to be looked at. The greatest number of black pearls you will see are not in fact black but other colours which have been stained black by man. 99% of these are cultured but a very few natural pearls with very unattractive colours are also stained. Natural black pearls come almost exclusively from the Pinctada margaritifera oyster. The colour is due to chromatophore in the albumen in the pearl strata. Also the mineral content, salinity and depth of the water can have a large effect on pearl colour.
The main production areas are the Touamotou and Gambiers Archipelagos and the Marquises Islands. Other areas but to a lesser extent are the Red Sea, Panama, Fiji and Mexico.

I’ve worn the same earrings for years. I’ve always cleaned them with jewelry cleaner. I clean my ears with peroxide, then gentle soap and water. Over the past few months, no matter which earrings I wear, my ears turn black. I wear 14k gold rings with no problem.
It’s because you’re African American.
